The traditional music group O Verde Pinho is giving regular shows at Quinta de Cereira, at the terrace during summer, otherwise in the adega.
Using traditional portuguese instruments, like the guitarra portuguesa (the 12-stringed guitar used in the fados), the cavaquinho, the mandolim, acustic guitar and percurssion, like the square doufe, the groups lets you hear popular songs.
The lyrics of this songs have their direct roots in the local population, and date from a long forgotten past. The typically portuguese fado, as well as other, more recent songs from people like the protest singer José Afonso, will end the evening.
