Short walk in the direct surroundings of Quinta da Cerejeira duration: 1¼ hour
You leave Quinta da Cerejeira turning to your right and keep walking trough the village of Cerejeira. You follow the paved road, keeping to the right at junctions. Reaching the last white house, on your right, the paved road turns into a gravel road, which goes downwards trough the forest. Down in the valley of Lagar do Lombo you follow the path to the left, along the old barn. You pass a brooklet and walk, between the buildings, to the junction and turn left.
(A) The path returns into a paved road which you follow untill a 3-junction, where you go to the left. You are now in the village of Outeiros. At the T-junction (nearby the village pump San João) you go again to the left. You walk downwards and turn left at the next 3-junction. At the Casa do Refúgio you go straight ahead. You go down that road and turn right at the next 3-junction. At a crossing you go straight forward out and reach Cubo. Soon you reach another 3-junction, where you turn left, following this road till the white house with the round tower, where you turn to the left. At a crossing you take the path on your right in direction of the paved road. There you turn right and, at the 3-junction, right again. At the crossing you go straight forward and follow this road untill the STOP-sign, where you go to the left. At the 3-junction you go to the left, to the left again, reaching Quinta da Cerejeira.
Walk in the surroundings of Quinta da Cerejeira duration: 2 hours
You leave Quinta da Cerejeira turning to the left and, at the crossing, again left. At the STOP-sigh you cross the N348 in direction of Horta da Serra. You turn left at the first 3-junction and get back at the N348, which you follow in direction of Vila de Rei/Miradouro (walk, for your savety, on the left side of the road). You pass a picket with the number 5 and soon you take the gravel road on your left, parallel to the paved road. You turn right at the first 3-junction. The path turns left through a forest.
At the 3-junction you turn left and at the next 3-junction you go straight out. At a crossing of paths you go right out again and follows the path downwards. You keep following this path, and when you reach a 3-junction you go to the right. The pad you follow winds trough eucalyptus trees, until you reach a crossing where you turn right. You follow this path into the valley (you can see some buildings on your left). In the valley you walk down the path to the left and walk left of the brooklet. You cross the little bridge and go up the wide gravel road; you follow this one to your left. At the 3-junction you turn left.
Here you can also turn right and follow the walk from point A of the first walk.
You walk between the little houses of Lagar do Lombo and after a old barn you turn right, following upwards the path. After a stiff climb the path turns into an paved road, which you follows untill you reach Quinta da Cerejeira.
